Benefits of Implementing Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) for SMBs

FTTP (Fiber to the Premises) is a communication distribution method based on the use of optical fibers instead of traditional copper wires. The fiber is routed directly to the buildings (or the customer’s premises) from the provider’s main office or can be used to connect an entire building or other public structures to the main office. By using FTTP, customers can achieve the highest Internet transfer speeds currently available.

While FTTP may not be available in all geographic areas and may be more expensive than other forms of network connections, SMBs who have the opportunity to implement it can benefit from higher speeds, more secure transmissions, and more durable lines, without the need to be replaced every five years like traditional copper wires.
